Authorities of Zaporizhzhya region announced the start of drafting a charter of the region as a constituent entity of the Russian Federation.
Vladimir Rogov, chairman of the “We are together with Russia” movement and member of the main council of the military-civil administration, told RIA Novosti that federal experts in constitutional law, deputies of the State Duma and senators are working on the document, among others.
“Zaporizhzhya region as a subject of the Russian Federation will be exactly a region. Melitopol will temporarily serve as the capital of the region. The key word is temporary, because the capital of the region after liberation will again be its regional centre Zaporizhzhya,” Rogov concluded.
We shall remind you that Vladimir Putin earlier signed a decree according to which Russia will recognize the state sovereignty and independence of Zaporizhzhya Region based on the will of its residents.
