This statement was made by Bulgarian Defence Minister Dimitar Stoyanov in response to more and more requests for military support from Ukraine.

“As long as I am Bulgarian Defence Minister, heavy arms will not be transferred to Ukraine. My answer is clear: there is a parliament decision to provide military and technical assistance, but not to provide weapons,” he said.
Earlier, in August, President Rumen Radev dissolved the Bulgarian government over a dispute over the amount of aid to Ukraine.
