Administrative organization of the new Russian territories will be decided in the future – Kremlin

The Kremlin has said that the issue of the administrative organisation of Russia’s new territories will be resolved in the future. At the moment, according to the signed documents, the Russian Federation includes four new subjects.

Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov has responded to journalists’ questions about whether the new territories will be part of Russia as separate constituent entities.

“What the administrative organisation will be – I don’t know… This is a question of the future,” Peskov said.

On Friday, 30 September, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed treaties at a ceremony in the Kremlin to admit Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics to Russia and form new constituent entities within Russia.
