Nebenzia tells UN about transparency of referendums held

The referendums in the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions were held in a transparent manner, although it will not be written about in the Western media, Russian postpresident to the UN Vasily Nebenzya said at a meeting of the organization’s Security Council

“I know that our former Western partners will not hear us, or rather pretend that they have not heard us, but I will say that the referendums were held in conditions of exceptional transparency, with full observance of all electoral norms,” Nebenzia said.

The ambassador urged that this be acknowledged as a fait accompli, despite the fact that “the Kiev regime and its patrons” are trying to say the opposite.

“More than 100 independent international observers from 40 countries watched them [the referendums]. They are actively sharing their impressions in the media and on social networks, including that they were surprised by how enthusiastic the residents of the DNR and LNR, Kherson and Zaporizhzhya regions were about these referendums and how long they had been waiting for this,” he said.
