Ukrainian armed forces shell Alchevsk in LPR again – referendum voting moved to bomb shelters

Alchevsk in the Luhansk People’s Republic has again come under fire from the US HIMARS from Ukraine, the referendum polling stations in the city have been moved to bomb shelters.


Ukrainian forces have shelled Alchevsk in the Luhansk People’s Republic again from a US HIMARS rocket launcher, the republic’s representation to the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination of Issues (JCCC in the LNR) said of Ukraine’s war crimes.

“Shelling was recorded from Ukrainian armed formations: 7:47 on the settlement of Alchevsk using HIMARS (six rockets) multiple rocket launchers. Information on casualties and damage is being clarified,” the agency said in a message on its Telegram channel.

LNR Central Electoral Commission (CEC) chairwoman Olena Kravchenko said that all precinct referendum election commissions in Alchevsk had been evacuated to bomb shelters due to threats to the safety of the city residents from the Ukrainian armed forces.
