The Washington Post analyzed public opinion polls and wrote that support for Ukraine is weakening in the West due to economic problems
According to opinion polls, the interest of Western countries in supporting Ukraine is weakening because of economic problems, writes The Washington Post.
“Ukrainians and Western strategists have concerns that skepticism about anti-Russian sanctions and their effectiveness (energy prices in Europe have skyrocketed) may intensify,” the article says.
Public indifference is likely to increase, the paper said. The Pew Research Center found that Americans are far less concerned about a potential defeat for Ukraine now than they were in the spring, and a significant majority believes that the support provided to Kiev is sufficient.
