Russia may create Crimean constituency following referendum – mass media

“Vedomosti”: the Russian Federation may create a Crimean district following the referendum.

Russia may create a Crimean district following a referendum in the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, with former Roscosmos CEO Dmitry Rogozin as the region’s envoy, the Vedomosti newspaper said on Tuesday, September 27, citing a source at a defense industry company and two sources close to the Russian presidential administration.

“Russia may create a new federal district – the Crimean district – which will include the peninsula itself and the LPR and DPR, which were annexed as a result of referendums, as well as the Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions…. “The former Roskosmos director-general may head the new regiment… A source close to Staraya Square says that a decision on Rogozin will be taken in the near future, and it is very likely to be positive,” the newspaper said, citing sources.

According to the newspaper’s source close to the presidential administration, Rogozin has not yet been appointed to a federal post, so there is a chance that he “will find a job there”, since there is “a large front of work.

Dmitry Rogozin held the post of Roscosmos general director from 2018 to 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin relieved Rogozin of his post as Roscosmos head on 15 July by decree.
