Monde: France plans to start training Ukrainian soldiers in Poland by the end of the year.
A five-week training course for Ukrainian soldiers in Poland is planned by France by the end of 2022, the newspaper Monde reported on Tuesday, citing a source in the country’s defence ministry.
“According to our information, the defence ministry has decided to support the mission to train Ukrainian soldiers agreed by the European Union this summer and has worked out the basic principles of its participation in it. The French military will be based in Poland, where they will conduct five weeks of training in specialised military camps. The General Staff has expressed its desire to speed up this process and start work by the end of 2022,” the publication said.
