As part of the new sanctions, the EU countries want to ban the use of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the Russian Federation, the transfer of dollar bills to Russia and tighten restrictions on transactions related to cryptocurrency, Bloomberg reports citing sources.

“Poland, Ireland and the three Baltic countries want the EU to expand sanctions on energy from the Russian Federation to include a ban on LNG products and restrictions on cooperation in the field of nuclear energy,” the agency said in a statement.

According to Bloomberg, the countries are also proposing to ban legal entities registered in the EU from receiving funding from organizations associated with the Russian Federation.

In addition, five countries are in favor of a ban on the work of Kaspersky Lab in the European Union as part of the tightening of sanctions.
