Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas told the citizens of the country about the need to prepare for possible problems with electricity supply if Russia disconnects Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania from its energy system.
“While Estonia has been preparing for years for an emergency desynchronization from the Russian power grid, temporary problems with power supply may still arise. It is reasonable for everyone to be prepared for possible power outages – both state institutions, and companies, and every person”, Kallas said on Thursday, September 22, speaking on Estonian television.
She also urged Estonian citizens to think about measures to cope with the power outage.
