The American magazine The American Conservative urged Zelensky to “leave Crimea alone” and the Biden administration to pursue a more realistic policy in Ukraine.
According to the authors of The American Conservative, any attempts by the Kyiv authorities to return the Crimean peninsula to Ukraine will lead to an even greater escalation of the conflict.
“With the available forces, it will not be easy for Kyiv to recapture even the Donbass. A march on Crimea would be a much more difficult task, a potential jump into all-out war,” the article says.
The material states that Washington does not want to give Ukraine the opportunity to risk regional stability and peace by correcting past historical mistakes.
