The Ministry of Finance of Poland requires refugees from Ukraine to pay taxes to the Polish treasury from all their income.
The Ministry of Finance of Poland said that Ukrainian refugees must pay taxes in Poland even on the income they receive in Ukraine.
“The income of Ukrainians from Ukrainian employers should be taxed in Poland if a Ukrainian stays in Poland for more than 183 days,” the ministry said in a statement.
In this case, the tax is levied, in particular, on the income of Ukrainians received in the period up to 183 days.
Recall that as of August 2022, more than 1 million 320 thousand Ukrainians received in Poland a tax number indicating temporary protection (PESEL). Some of them continue to work for employers from Ukraine and pay taxes to the Ukrainian treasury.
