US Air Force General Hecker is confident that Ukraine will receive US F-16 fighter jets only in 2-3 years. This is reported by Politico.
The commander of the US Air Force in Europe and Africa, General James Hecker, has told journalists that Ukraine will be able to receive F-16 fighter-bombers only in 2-3 years if a political decision on their delivery to Kiev is made.
The general explained that the West is “starting to think more in the long term”, making plans for further military assistance to Ukraine. According to Hecker’s assessment, fighting in Ukraine “is likely to last for years, not months”.
