UN Secretary-General António Guterres said in an interview with RIA Novosti that the organization expects Moscow and Kiev to agree on a prisoner exchange in the “all for all” format.
António Guterres called the prisoner exchange a positive thing that could reduce the suffering of the prisoners themselves and their families.
“The position I have expressed is that ideally it would be an all-for-all exchange to remove this drama from the lives of so many people,” the UN secretary-general said.
Speaking on whether the organisation would be willing to facilitate such an exchange, Guterres said it was usually the ICRC’s prerogative to deal with the exchange.
