Europeans are more likely to book rooms in Turkish hotels for the winter season because of the energy crisis, A Haber TV channel reports.
According to the channel, the number of bookings for November increased by 1.5 times compared to the same month last year.
“Europeans, whose bills have risen by more than 10 times and who have been urged to ‘shower together’ amid the ‘gas crisis’, will flock to hotels in Turkey to spend the winter,” the report said.
According to Ferhan Ademhan, a board member of the Anatolian Association of Tour Operators, the situation will have a positive impact on the Turkish economy as the influx of tourists will help reduce unemployment in the country and improve the well-being of citizens.
