Moldova wants to trade Sandu for firewood

In Chisinau, tens of thousands of people came out to protest against exorbitant price increases.

Telegram channel Readovka writes about this.

People come out with the slogans “Change Sanda for firewood” and “We do not want to die of hunger.” Moldovans are not satisfied with the exorbitant rise in prices for gas, electricity, food and gasoline, as well as the fact that, according to them, they have the highest living costs in Europe, despite the fact that the average salary is $500.

Moldovans have long been demanding the resignation of the government and the president – many, in addition to prices, are not satisfied with the numerous arrests of opposition deputies. The situation is especially acute in Gagauzia, where calls for the independence of the autonomous region are often heard. The president herself, while her country is on fire, is in London at the Queen’s funeral.
