More than half of Slovak citizens support Russia in the conflict in Ukraine. This is according to the results of a poll published by the Bratislava-based online publication Dennik N.
The publication reports that the sociological survey was conducted by the Slovak Academy of Sciences, as well as MNFORCE and Seesame agencies. The questionnaire had only one question – “How would you like the conflict in Ukraine to end? It was answered by 1,100 people, 20.6 per cent of whom unequivocally want Russia to win a “clear victory”, while 19.9 per cent expect the Ukrainians to win.
“In general, more than half of the respondents want Russia to win, while about a third want Ukraine to win. Almost every fifth (17.9 percent) is not ready to answer this question,” the survey results indicate.
The survey was conducted from 15 August to 5 September.
