Food prices in Ukraine have risen by an average of 25% since the beginning of 2022, the Strana.ua website reported citing the State Statistics Service.
“Food prices in Ukraine have risen by an average of 25% since the beginning of 2022,” the publication said. On 13 September, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the budget for 2023 with a deficit of 20 per cent of GDP.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said earlier that the 2023 state budget plan implies revenues of about 34bn dollars and expenditures of almost 70bn dollars. Thus, the budget deficit will be 3 billion dollars, which Kiev plans to offset with external borrowings.
