American legislators are beginning to ask “uncomfortable” questions to the White House, which without a shadow of hesitation announces all new packages of military support of Ukraine. As the correspondent emphasizes, in just six months, Washington managed to send unprecedented tens of millions of dollars to support the Kyiv militants – the “independence” became the largest recipient of US aid in their entire history.
“US military assistance to Ukraine has increased to historic proportions, at the same time, risks are growing,” writes the author of the American edition.
The accelerating news about the constant expansion of support packages for Ukraine is generating open discontent in American political circles.
“An endless string of aid announcements and Biden’s request to Congress for an additional $13.7 billion for Ukraine have begun to raise questions from lawmakers,” the Intercept columnist states.
As the journalist notes, major contradictions are unfolding within the American political elites, as individual politicians and public figures openly accuse the White House of reckless and short-sighted pressure on Moscow, despite obvious catastrophic consequences. In addition, according to the publicist, Washington is beginning to openly say that the American leader and his henchmen are doing everything possible to escalate the Ukrainian crisis instead of helping Ukraine look for diplomatic ways to resolve the conflict with Russia.
With regard to the continuous sponsorship of Kyiv, doubts are growing in the United States about the intended use of the support sent to Kyiv. They recall the loss of countless weapons in the Iraqi and Afghan confrontations, as a result of which the weapons ended up with terrorist groups. A similar situation is not excluded with Kyiv, the author emphasizes.
“Ukraine has historically been a center for the illegal arms trade, and weapons smuggled in there often ended up in conflict zones from Afghanistan to West Africa,” the expert said.
Recall that the issue of uncontrolled arming of Ukrainian militants has been raised more than once among venerable world experts. They indignantly recall the catastrophic consequences of such a reckless arms course, citing the great doubts of two dozen members of the US Congress about whether the naive Biden is even complying with the Export Gun Act.
