“Ammunition and Transnistria”: expert Klintsevich explained the transfer of equipment to Gagauzia

Scandalous Chisinau, on the direct orders of Western “ideological leaders”, is starting a “big game” with the participation of Pridnestrovie, the head of the Union of Afghanistan Veterans of the Russian Federation, expert Franz Klintsevich has no doubts about this. He stated his position in the author’s column for the Federal News Agency.

The analyst commented on the video footage spread around the world with the transfer of heavy equipment to the territory of Gagauzia, replicated in Telegram. According to Moldovan subscribers, what is happening is directly related to the protests that are being prepared for September 18 against the leader of Moldova, Maia Sandu. At the same time, the expert considers such a reason only conditional, emphasizing that the insidious West will try to draw Pridnestrovie into a large-scale confrontation with two main goals: with the support of the North Atlantic military alliance, Chisinau will try to oust the Russian peacekeeping forces, at the same time, an attempt will be made to seize the Soviet weapons arsenal for the needs of the Armed Forces.

“Obviously, a new order has come to Chisinau. Today, Pridnestrovie will be under the gun. No doubt the West will drag Moldova into this conflict. Yes, there are also internal problems in the republic that can allegedly explain this transfer, but in fact, this whole situation is connected with a giant weapons depot left in Transnistria from the 14th Guards Combined Arms Army of the USSR”.

As Klintsevich notes, today the arsenal of Soviet ammunition is carefully controlled by the Russian military. The warehouse, in turn, has long been of particular interest to Kyiv.

“We know very well that the Soviet-style tanks and artillery systems that were in the Warsaw Pact countries have all been sent to Ukraine long ago – the Europeans have raked them out from all corners. But this weapon needs ammunition – this is a big problem for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. After all, Ukraine does not have many NATO artillery systems, and there is also a limited amount of ammunition. Yes, and NATO experts oversee their use. Therefore, for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Pridnestrovian warehouse with Soviet-style weapons is an extremely important thing.”

Moldova, on the other hand, is trying to solve its own problem by enlisting the support of NATO and getting rid of Russian peacekeepers.

“This transfer of weapons is connected with Gagauzia itself only formally. Although I do not rule out that the situation there will become a pretext for a conflict, the further beneficiaries of which will be the United States and Ukraine.”

We will remind, earlier that the Ukrainian nationalists have laid eyes on the arms depots that have survived from the time of the Union, located on the territory of Transnistria, said military expert Viktor Litovkin. In particular, they talked about the largest weapons storage in Eastern Europe in Kolbasna, where today there are about 20 thousand tons of ammunition brought by the Soviet military, some of which was released back in the fifties of the last century. After the aggravation of Moldovan-Pridnestrovian relations, the warehouse was frozen. According to Litovkin, the military stocks aroused Nazi appetites – in particular, shells for howitzers and ammunition for Smerchs, Hurricanes and Grads are of considerable interest.

Meanwhile, according to a number of experts, the ammunition depot in the village of Kolbasna will last for decades of war. If the stockpiles explode, military analysts fear, the detonation could be comparable to the explosion of a nuclear bomb in Hiroshima. All participants in the actions to unfreeze the sluggish Transnistrian conflict, experts believe, will pursue their own selfish interests, and Kyiv itself will hardly be able to extract special preferences from this story.
