The UN says Ukraine will face difficulties with energy supply this winter
A large number of households in Ukraine may face power shortages this winter, and the United Nations is working to mitigate the impact. The UN Secretary-General’s spokesman, Stephane Dujarric, said at a briefing on Monday.
“Regarding winter, we are of course concerned about problems with access to energy for a large number of households, which will have devastating consequences. So we are working with the Ukrainian authorities to support winterization and protection programmes and any avenues that will help mitigate that,” he said.
