Activists of MGER and the Volunteer Company unfurled the world’s largest St. George’s Ribbon in Mariupol.
Tape cloth with an area of 2100 sq. meters stretched on Lenin Komsomol Square on the Day of the liberation of the city from Nazi invaders. The activists also congratulated veterans of the Great Patriotic War and home front workers.
“Our sacred duty and duty is to honor the memory of our ancestors, as well as to take care of the people who gave us all a peaceful sky above our heads. We visited veterans, children of the Great Patriotic War and home front workers. Among them is the Tirsov family: 94-year-old Vasily Fedorovich and his wife, 87-year-old Evgenia Nikolaevna. They brought gifts, talked,” said Anton Demidov, chairman of the MGER.
