The American edition of The Federalist stated that Washington let down its citizens by providing unprecedented assistance to Ukraine. The article’s author, America’s Renewal Center researcher and former aide to US Senator Mike Leigh, Katherine Thompson, warned that America’s involvement in this conflict would be a defeat for the country.
She expressed the opinion that the support of Kyiv is counterproductive.
“The United States intervened in the Ukrainian conflict at the very moment when the first package of military assistance to Kyiv was announced. By engaging in yet another proxy war, the White House and Congress set the American people up,” Thompson said.
