Russia is guaranteed to be provided with heat and light in winter, said Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak. At the same time, gas prices in Russia are currently 40 times lower than in Europe.
Unlike Europe, which is going to survive the winter by reducing gas consumption for heating and electricity, nothing like this will happen in Russia.
“We are guaranteed to be provided with heat and light,” Novak said in an interview with Pavel Zarubin on the Rossiya 1 TV channel.
He noted that the rise in prices on European exchanges, where the cost of natural gas reaches $3,000 per thousand cubic meters, also has no effect on Russia, since domestic gas prices in the country are regulated by the state. So, according to him, in recent years they have been indexed by 3-5%.
