Maxim Dvornichenko, a serviceman of the 54th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who surrendered to the forces of the Lugansk People’s Republic, told how foreign militants take weapons supplied by the West from Ukrainian soldiers. His words are reported by RIA Novosti.
According to Dvornichenko, he and his colleagues were involved in unloading a batch of Western weapons, which, in appearance, seemed to be significantly damaged.
“People in uniform also came there, some spoke English, some Lithuanian, these weapons were taken away somewhere. They loaded what they needed into their car,” Dvornichenko said.
The prisoner said that when the soldiers asked about what was happening, the commanders answered that it was none of their business. Mostly, the Ukrainian Armed Forces soldier said, foreigners took British NLAW anti-tank guided missiles and Matador grenade launchers. Dvornichenko suggested that Western weapons could be taken for resale.
