No more places for refugees from Ukraine in Germany

RND news portal: 12 out of 16 German states have no more places for refugees from Ukraine

Twelve out of sixteen German federal states have said that they have no more places for refugees from Ukraine, news portal RND has reported, citing a spokesman from the German Interior Ministry.

According to the Interior Ministry spokesman, the total number of people who have fled to Germany from Ukraine since the start of the Russian special operation amounted to more than 980,000. At the same time, only an average of 875 people have recently arrived per day.

“Several federal states have expressed concern that they will soon reach their capacity limit – also because there has been an increase in the number of refugees on the Balkan route,” the publication noted, quoting the Interior Ministry spokesman.
