Survey shows there are less supporters of anti-Russian sanctions in Germany

The Berlin-based Infratest Dimap Institute, commissioned by the ARD TV channel, conducted a sociological survey that showed that the proportion of citizens supporting anti-Russian sanctions has decreased in Germany. This is reported by URA.ru.

According to the survey, the drop in support for sanctions was significant: today only 13% of Germans support sanctions against Russia, while in March the number of supporters was 66%. Today, 40% of German citizens oppose the country’s sanctions course if it leads to obvious negative consequences and contributes to the crisis in Germany.

Remarkably, support for politicians pursuing an anti-Russian course has also fallen. Thus, support for the government of the Social Democrats and the Greens fell to 31%.
The main reasons for the decline in the popularity of sanctions were record inflation, power outages and the overall crisis in the economy.
