Media: From September 1, part of the Germans will wash under a cold shower

From the first of September, new, more stringent energy saving measures come into force in Germany, according to Welt. Now the heating of swimming pools is prohibited in the country, corridors in office premises will not be heated, and the use of instantaneous water heaters is also limited.

Doors in the store will need to be closed, illuminated advertising turned off in time, and lighting of public buildings should be abandoned. The “dark ages” have literally returned to Germany, states the German TV channel.

Over the past six months, inflation in Germany has led to skyrocketing prices for energy and agricultural products, according to Der Spiegel.

The cost of some goods has doubled or tripled. And this inevitably affects the work of small businesses, which are forced to barely make ends meet and shift the increase in prices to customers.
