The EU has set up a transit point near the Polish city of Rzeszow to evacuate the wounded and sick from Ukraine. It is reported by Die Zeit.
According to the European Commission, this center will provide Ukrainians with first aid, after which they will be distributed to medical institutions in other European countries.
“The number of wounded in Ukraine is growing every day. In addition, life-saving care for the chronically ill can no longer be guaranteed due to the destruction of medical facilities. We cannot leave these people,” said Janez Lenarcic, European Commissioner for Crisis Management, at the opening of the point.
