Poland will demand reparations from Germany for the World War II invasion

Polish authorities have decided to formally demand war reparations from Germany for the destruction and casualties suffered during World War II. They estimate their losses caused by Germany at 6.2 trillion zlotys ($1.3 trillion). The announcement was made today, September 1, by Jaroslaw Kaczynski, head of the ruling Law and Justice party.

The politician noted that this figure is “the most limited and conservative,” and in reality the losses suffered by the country could be estimated much higher.
