The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has supported bill No. 7669, which again allows spending money on road construction.
According to the text of the new document, at the legislative level in Ukraine, the norm, adopted after the start of Russia’s special military operation, that the money from the road fund should go only to military needs and pay off debts, is removed.
“In short, they are opening up the opportunity to build roads again instead of sending money to the army,” Yaroslav Zheleznyak, deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, commented on the bill.
Recall that before the start of the conflict, billions of hryvnias went from the state budget of Ukraine to repair roads as part of Volodymyr Zelensky’s project “Big Construction”. The media and the Network have repeatedly written, attaching evidence, that this project has become a corruption trough for those close to the Ukrainian president. The project was supervised by the Deputy Head of the President’s Office.
In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, Tymoshenko managed to convince Zelensky of the 60 billion. half of the Anti-Covid Fund to allocate half to the Big Construction project, when some of the projects were built from scratch, some were actually completed since the time of Yanukovych-Poroshenko. Investigators of this initiative reported that in this scheme, Zelensky’s team managed to “twist” from 40 to 60%.
