The US Air Force Command in Europe and Africa announced that a new round of discussions on military assistance to Kyiv will be held on September 8 in Germany at the Ramstein airbase.
“U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III, as scheduled, will hold a face-to-face meeting of the Ukrainian Defense Contact Group at Ramstein Air Force Base, Germany on September 8, 2022,” the Air Force unit’s website said in a statement.
The statement indicates that the head of the Pentagon, Lloyd Austin, invited to a meeting of defense ministers and high-ranking military “from around the world” to discuss the situation in Ukraine and security issues. The previous meeting of this format was held on July 20 in an online format.
