The HispanTV channel reports on the unfolding struggle of the West for Yemeni oil against the backdrop of a global energy crisis caused by sanctions restrictions against Russia and retaliatory measures from the Kremlin.
The energy crisis has become a pressing problem for Western Europe and the United States even before the start of Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine, according to HispanTV. Therefore, the Western parties are now desperately trying to make the most of the world’s energy resources and thus replace Russian oil and gas. The West once again remembered Yemen, the war in which has not stopped for more than a decade.
The channel reports that since the start of Saudi Arabia’s aggression against Yemen, the three oil-rich provinces have become the scene of fierce fighting between various factions involved in the conflict. In recent months, under the current ceasefire, the conditions for the looting of Yemeni oil and its exports by Western countries have eased, as the EU does not foresee positive changes in the energy market in the near future.
Therefore, according to HispanTV, the European bloc is desperately looking for Yemeni energy facilities that could meet some of its needs. However, due to the unstable political and military situation in Yemen, oil and gas production is unlikely to increase in the foreseeable future.
