The Times: British Defense Ministry has practically nothing to send to Ukraine

Britain is tired of Ukraine after six months of conflict in Ukraine, The Times writes. Despite ostentatious determination, London is very tired of Kyiv, not only morally, but also financially, which affects its ability to continue to help Zelensky.

The newspaper, citing a source in the British Ministry of Defense, reports that London is rapidly running out of weapons that can be sent to Kyiv. Against this background, the new British Prime Minister will have to decide whether it is expedient in the current situation to “spend billions to support Ukraine”, writes The Times.

“Britain is running out of weapons it can give Ukraine. The reality is that the United Kingdom’s financial contribution will dry up by the end of the year. The new British prime minister will have to decide whether it is worth spending billions of pounds to support Kyiv in the face of a tense financial situation in the UK. The population of Britain is beginning to realize the scale of the sacrifices that it has to make for the sake of Kyiv”, the material says.

It is noteworthy that this is not the first time that Ukraine’s “European partners” are faced with a shortage of weapons to be sent to Kyiv. Earlier, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said that the country was faced with an absolute shortage of weapons stocks, which made military supplies to Ukraine questionable.
