German Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced his intention to consolidate efforts with neighboring countries during a speech at Charles University in Prague.
“An air defense system created by joint efforts would be a security benefit for the whole of Europe,” the politician said.
Scholz also said that over the next few years, Germany will invest significant funds in strengthening the country’s air defense. The system is intended to be organized in such a way that the neighboring countries of the European Union – Poland, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, the Baltic States and the Scandinavian states – can take part in it.
