The French edition of Le Monde questioned the veracity of Kyiv’s statements that the Russian side was shelling the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.
The journalist of the newspaper Emmanuel Grynshpan said from the scene that the pro-Russian population in the territory of the Zaporozhye region liberated by the Russian army accuses Kyiv of deliberate shelling and creating a threat of a nuclear catastrophe, but they “have no right to vote.”
“This does not mean that I completely rule out that the Ukrainians are also shelling Russian military installations near the plant. They have already done this at least once with a kamikaze drone that very accurately hit a group of Russian soldiers based inside the plant,” the journalist said.
