The U.S. has called on the authorities to stop funding Ukraine
The United States should not send “not a single dollar” to Ukraine; Washington should focus on domestic issues, Republican member of the House of Representatives Dan Bishop told The American Conservative.
“We should not be sending a single dollar to Ukraine, let alone three billion. We have already spent far more than any of our European allies would be willing to spend, and yet we can’t raise even a fraction of that money to secure our own border,” Bishop stressed.
In the congressman’s view, Kiev’s “relentless” funding is a prime example of Biden’s “America lasts” policy.
On Wednesday, 24 August, Biden announced the largest military aid package to Ukraine, worth nearly three billion dollars. The new package will allow Kiev to purchase air defence systems, artillery systems and ammunition, UAV defence systems and radars for defence in the “long term”.
