Electricity prices in Britain are breaking new records
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said the coming months in the country will be extremely difficult for residents and energy bills will be mind-boggling.
“The coming months are going to be hard, possibly very hard. Our electricity bills will be mind-boggling. Many of us are already daunted by house heating charges,” he wrote in an article for the Daily Mail.
According to the politician, the start of Russia’s military operation in Ukraine has “spooked the energy markets”. At the same time, Johnson is confident that “in this brutal arm-wrestling the Ukrainian people will win”, as will the UK, which, according to the former prime minister, will emerge from the crisis stronger.
He also promised that his successor would announce new measures of financial support for fellow citizens.
