The EU plans to support the suspension of simplified visa regime with Russia, reports the Financial Times
The EU foreign ministers intend to support the suspension of the visa facilitation agreement with Russia in the coming days, the Financial Times newspaper reported citing its sources.
As the newspaper notes, the EU intends to support such a measure next week to reduce the number of visas issued to Russians after some countries called to prohibit issuing visas to Russian citizens.
The EU also says that more radical changes to visas for Russians may be introduced by the end of the year.
The “visa issue” is expected to be discussed at a meeting during the informal meeting of EU foreign ministers in Prague on August 30-31.
