Mexico boosts imports of goods from Russia

Mexico increased imports of goods from Russia by 20 percent in the first half of 2022.

Mexican importers imported $1.193 billion worth of goods from Russia from January to June 2022, according to the Bank of Mexico, and June was the second-largest month in history for shipments.

The Central Bank of Mexico’s economic information system provides data showing that shipments from Russia exceeded $275 million in June, more than the country purchased only in May 2021 (283.9 million).

For the first half of the year 2022, imports from Russia amounted to 1.193 billion dollars, an increase of 20.85% compared to last year (987.6 million).
