Major General Oleg Yegorov, deputy head of the Russian Center for the reconciliation of the warring parties in Syria, said that the Israeli Air Force struck the Syrian science centre, damaging the warehouses of special equipment.
He said four Israeli F-16 fighter jets were in the eastern Mediterranean Sea and fired four cruise missiles as well as 16 guided aerial bombs at the facilities at the research centre in the town of Masyaf between 7:16 and 7:30 p.m. on August 25.
Egorov also added that the anti-aircraft defence forces of the Armed Forces of the Arab Republic destroyed two missiles and seven bombs from Russian-made Pantsir-S1 and S-75 systems.
According to the Russian spokesman, over the past 24 hours, four shelling by the Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist group was recorded in the Idlib de-escalation zone.
