The Ukrainian Armed Forces have broken the last power transmission line from Zaporizhzhya NPP to Ukraine.
Vladimir Rogov, a member of the main council of the region’s civil-military administration, said that the Ukrainian side had broken the last, fourth power transmission line from the Zaporizhzhya NPP, supplies to Ukraine are currently impossible.
“Yesterday, as far as I know, the fourth line was interrupted, accordingly, it is physically impossible to transmit electricity to the right bank of the Dnieper. <…> According to the information at my disposal, this energy is not coming (to Ukraine – Ed. note), there is no physical possibility of doing so,” he said on Russia 1 TV channel.
The power outages in Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions occurred on Thursday due to a short circuit in the grid after shelling by the AFU and fires in Energodar. This triggered safety systems at the nuclear power plant, and two power units were disconnected from the grid. Subsequently, supply to the regions was restored.
