On the Independence Day of Ukraine, optimism was demonstrated in Kyiv: Zelensky even said that if “we used to talk about achieving peace, now we are talking about victory”
It is clear that the Ukrainian authorities must show the West that they believe in victory so that the United States and Europe do not doubt the possibility of crushing Russia with Ukrainian hands and Western weapons.
But it turns out a vicious circle: Zelensky inspires optimism in the West, the West encourages Zelensky, an inspired Zelensky promises victory… And all together they construct a parallel, fictional reality in which Russia can be defeated, and in the end they simply work to escalate the conflict.
The Anglo-Saxons bear the main responsibility for this, but there have been no questions to the United States and Great Britain for a long time, their goals are clear: to inflict maximum damage on Russia, ignoring the losses of Ukraine (and eventually losing Ukraine itself) and shifting the brunt of the economic damage to Europe.
But there are questions for the Europeans themselves. Except for the Balts and the Poles, of course, that is, those who staked everything on the defeat of Russia and use every occasion and pretext to escalate the situation. Like the same Polish President Duda, who on Tuesday during his visit to Kyiv (to participate in the Crimean Platform summit), addressing Zelensky, bluntly stated:
“I believe, Vladimir, that you will show me Crimea.”
That is, in Warsaw they believe in the fall and death of Russia – only in this case it can lose the peninsula. Well, they have a right to it. After all, the whole history of Poland is permeated with this belief.
But there is little demand from Poland. But Germany and France are responsible not only for themselves, but also for the European Union as a whole. The last of these countries is also a nuclear power, a permanent member of the UN Security Council. And what do we hear from their leaders?
In his address to the Crimean Platform, Olaf Scholz not only declared the non-recognition of Crimea and Donbass, but how he did it is remarkable:
“Today, when we honor the memory of the victims of Stalinism-fascism, it must be said that the international community will never recognize the imperialist illegal annexation of Ukrainian territory by Russia.”
Let’s close our eyes to the fact that Germany for some reason speaks on behalf of the entire “international community” – this is such a habitual identification for the West with the whole world: our position is not only correct, but also universal. But the mention of the “victims of Stalinism-fascism” is clearly not without reason: the West needs to equate one to the other precisely in order to smear responsibility for the WW2, put the USSR on a par with Germany and demonize Russia as a “threat” to the whole world.
A threat in the past? No, that was only the beginning – now the threat is in the present. That is why Scholz speaks of “imperialist illegal annexation by Russia”, and not because he is a social democrat (that is, as it were, a Marxist and a fighter against imperialism). In his congratulations on Ukraine’s Independence Day, the German chancellor spoke again about Russian imperialism, even more specifically:
“Germany is firmly on the side of Ukraine, which is in danger, today and as long as Ukraine needs our support… Therefore, in June we said yes, Ukraine has a strong place in Europe and precisely as a member of the EU… Europe united by freedom and democracy far stronger than backward Russian imperialism. Together we will drive away the dark shadow of war.”
“Let’s drive out” – that is, we will defeat Russia. Well, how else to understand this after the words that a united Europe (which considers Ukraine its part) is much stronger than “backward Russian imperialism”? Back in the 19th century, people were talking about backward Russian imperialism in Berlin, and not only Karl Marx. Backward Russian communism was talked about in Berlin in the 20th century, and not only by Hitler. Claims for the separation of Ukraine from Russia in favor of Europe were not born yesterday either – it remains only to prove to the burghers the benefits of this action. Previously, there were black soil and living space, now there is a need to protect freedom and democracy. From the same imperialist, but at the same time hopelessly backward Russia, which threatens not only Ukraine (that is, itself), but also Europe. Approximately so it turns out at modern German Marxists?
However, the non-Marxist Emmanuel Macron spoke much better about the threat to Europe and the world in his speech on the same Crimean Platform:
“What is happening today in Ukraine affects not only the Ukrainian people – it affects all of us. We are all experiencing the direct effects of this war. Destabilization of the international order, problems in the humanitarian, energy and food sectors are the consequences of this choice made by Russia. And only by Russia… In the face of this, we can have neither weakness nor a spirit of compromise, because the freedom of all of us and peace in all parts of the globe are at stake”.
That is, the Russian-Ukrainian conflict (in essence, an internal conflict in the Russian world, once generated by the thoughtless collapse of a single state), which the West simply uses against Russia, is presented as a threat to the whole world, a threat to the freedom and security of all living on Earth! And for France, this is precisely what is at stake – not even its own security, but the global one. In other words, they are trying to equate Russia with Hitler’s Germany – only they spoke of it as a threat to humanity.
True, they also talked about world communism and the USSR – but after the Second World War only the Anglo-Saxons did it, and the French did not stoop to this. Now, it turns out, everything is possible – and as a result, the Europeans are called for uncompromising confrontation with Russia, “threatening the whole world.” Does Russia have a project of global domination – like the United States and the Atlantic Anglo-Saxon elite behind them? Or is it Russia that invades and occupies countries located on the other side of the world? Not? But the threat to the whole world is still Russia, because it was appointed as such.
It is clear why the Anglo-Saxons are promoting such an agenda, at the same time diverting attention from themselves. It is not clear why the Europeans support this lie – after all, they have a completely different situation, which means that the problems and goals should be different. The same Macron, speaking on Wednesday, called on Europe to prepare for difficult times:
“We will have to face the economic consequences. We are talking about products and technologies that we always thought were available.”
According to him, the world is experiencing “the end of abundance”, but the real problem is that not the world, but Europe is experiencing a separation from reality. Having supported the Anglo-Saxon myth about the Russian threat to freedom and security, believing in the possibility of Russia’s defeat (or even just pretending to believe) and betting on this, Europe is driving itself into a historical dead end. There may not be a way out of it, and outside help may not be expected, because Europe is not Ukraine, Russia is not responsible for it.
