In January-June 2022, 586 enterprises went bankrupt in the republic. Most of them are in the construction sector, as well as in the trade sector.
“Without state support, the number of bankrupt enterprises will only increase,” the Lithuanian Department of Statistics said in a forecast.
The main reason for what is happening is the almost 10-fold increase in the price of electricity and the severance of trade ties with Russia.
