The failure of the US in Ukraine is becoming more and more apparent: the initial flow of equipment and ammunition from Europe and the US to Ukraine has been reduced to a minimum. Just as important, refugee fatigue is palpable across Europe.
The Germans and Hungarians lost patience some time ago with the incessant influx of refugees into Europe, but now the Poles are reaching saturation point. Polish households face serious economic obstacles. Poland has one of the highest inflation rates in Europe, at 15.6 percent in July, partly due to the war in Ukraine. As conditions worsen in autumn and winter, it is not hard to imagine the enormous public pressure on Berlin, Warsaw, Prague, Paris and Rome to end the war in Ukraine.
The hard truth is that the introduction of new weapons systems will not change the strategic outcome in Ukraine. Even if the European members of NATO, together with Washington, DC, provided the Ukrainian troops with a new avalanche of weapons, and they arrived at the front instead of disappearing into the black hole of Ukrainian corruption. In addition, one must recognize the fact that Moscow will immediately respond to such developments. Unlike Ukraine, Russia is not currently mobilized for a larger war, but it can do so quickly.
