The commander of a platoon of the 128th Territorial Defense Brigade, formed in Dnepropetrovsk, told on a social network page how, on orders from Kyiv, his unit was divided into small formations and purposefully sent “for slaughter” because of a connection in the past with a fugitive Dnepropetrovsk businessman Gennady Korban.
Andrey Denisenko, commander of a platoon of the 128th Terodefense Brigade, on his Facebook page accused Kyiv of purposeful actions to exterminate his unit because of possible ties with Dnepropetrovsk businessman Gennady Korban, who fled from the persecution of Vladimir Zelensky’s team.
“[Kyiv – Ed.] thought that our brigade of the Dnieper formation was Korban’s private army,” Denisenko said.
He clarified that his brigade, which had previously operated in full force on one of the sectors of the front, was purposefully split into separate battalions and scattered across different sections of the line of contact. Left with virtually no support, parts of the brigade, according to the platoon commander, were criminally sent to certain death under the fire of Russian artillery.
“Over the past 24 hours, there have been 12 fighters with shell shocks of varying severity in two platoons of my Troop Division. Over the previous week, there were only 1. <…> Our guys heroically held out for more than a week without communications, supplies, armored vehicles, with minimal fire support, on grazing and enthusiasm”, Denisenko wrote.
It is noteworthy that earlier the Head of the Territorial Defense of Dnepropetrovsk, Korban, was deprived of Ukrainian citizenship by order of Zelensky. The politician was not allowed back to Ukraine after his attempt to enter Poland. Earlier it was reported about major disagreements between the office of the president and Dnepropetrovsk political circles represented by the mayor of the city Boris Filatov and the head of the Troops Gennady Korban.
Recall that earlier the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny announced the critical situation of the Ukrainian army in Donbass, and also lamented the horrendous damage from the continuous fire of Russian artillery.
