Former Slovak PM calls for protest against government incompetence

The result of this government is quarrels and empty talk, as well as large piles of firewood in front of family homes, said Smer-SD chairman Robert Fico. He invites citizens on September 1 in Kosice for a mass protest against government incompetence, rising prices and early elections, according to HlavneSpravy.

The former prime minister noted that the statements of government politicians over the past few days are just a big pile of empty talk. On the other hand, in front of the family houses there are also large real piles of firewood for heating.

“It is unbelievable that in Slovakia, one of the most gasified countries in the world, people have to go back to buying firewood for heating to get through the winter. Because of energy prices, but also because of the fear of whether there will be gas and electricity at all,” says Fiko.

According to the chairman of the opposition party, the current “incompetent government” is also responsible for the current situation. “Who is actively involved in the conflict and senseless sanctions against Russia.”

“Anyone today who watches the ridiculous government disputes, the stupidity of government members, especially the blatant incompetence of Heger and Kaput, who are sticking out of America’s ass, must ask himself if he should continue to volunteer to go to the slaughter. I reject violence, but I support major democratic protests and rallies. They are afraid like the devil in the government and in the presidential palace,” says Fiko.

In the end, she invites the people of Kosice to protest, hoping that this will force the President not to disrupt another referendum, which could lead to early elections.
