According to the publication, US energy companies are making millions in profits from selling gas to Europe against the backdrop of sanctions against Russia.

“Traders and energy companies receive up to $200 million in profits from the supply of US natural gas to Europe,” the publication claims, citing Business Insider data.

According to the newspaper, during the year the share of liquefied gas supplies from the US to Europe increased from 20 to 60 percent.

“The United States poses as saviors,” ironically reports Blick. The publication questioned that the United States is selling gas to Europe out of altruism, noting that “the difference in price between the two continents is huge.”
