The Defense Ministry is preparing an order from Defense Minister Artis Pabriks on large-scale austerity measures in the defense sector – from heating, electricity to repair work.

“The Ministry of Defense is preparing an order from Minister of Defense Artis Pabriks on large-scale cost-saving measures in the defense sector, from heating, electricity and ending with repair work,” the report says.
It is noted that energy saving measures are currently being coordinated between subordinate institutions of the ministry, and a strategy is being developed for the wider use of renewable and local energy resources at defense enterprises.
