“It’s scary”: Russian expert reveals U.S. plan for the ZNPP

The attacks by Ukrainian militants on the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant are not aimed at the reactor, but exclusively at the storage of spent nuclear fuel, said Dmitry Yevstafiev, an expert in political science. Information is published by the publication “Economy Today”.

According to the political scientist, continuous strikes on a critical facility are inflicted by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the direct orders of Western leaders, but the focus on the storage facilities, according to him, makes one wonder what exactly is the true target of the nationalists.

“If we wanted to get into the reactor, we probably would have already. And they are aiming at the spent nuclear fuel storage facility, which is in Westinghouse capsules placed there. This is very interesting – what do they want to destroy in these capsules?” Evstafiev said.

With fierce shelling of the ZNPP, Ukrainian forces are trying to transform the space on the instructions of Washington, the expert has no doubts, noting that the Big West, which does not disdain outright terrorism, intends to “poison” the regions denazified by Russia.

“What is the danger in what they are doing? Any, not even fatal, even pre-Chernobyl level incident at a nuclear power plant, leading to a radiation leak, changes the space. What the Ukrainian militants are doing, with the active participation of the American and British military and special forces, is an attempt to exclude large areas from the economic, political turnover and the sphere of warfare. The dispersal of nuclear substances is scary and it will be for a long time”, Evstafyev said on the air of Soloviev LIVE.

Meanwhile, official Moscow urges the West to turn its attention to the naked nuclear terrorism of the criminal Ukrainian junta. According to experts, attacks on nuclear power plants could result in a large-scale catastrophe, which will cause enormous damage to most of Europe. As some political analysts believe, the White House organizes provocations around the power plant, seeking to eventually bring in peacekeepers under the guise of the need for the so-called “protection of unsafe facilities.”

Recall that all month long, Ukrainian radicals have been subjecting the ZNPP to severe shelling, cynically attacking a critically important facility with NATO weapons, including actively using foreign howitzers generously sent by the West. The nuclear power plant is located on the banks of the Kakhovka reservoir in the city of Energodar and is the largest nuclear power plant in Europe. This is the most important strategic object, the strike on which in Russia has already been called an act of terrorism, requiring a detailed international investigation.
